POLICE are appealing after man wasrobbed in the Station Road area of Liss on Wednesday morning

At some time between 10.30am and 11am the victim, a man aged 33, was walking along Station Road in the direction of Hill Brow car park.

As he walked into the playing field, he was approached by two men who assaulted him and took a number of items from his jacket pockets.

They made off with £95 in cash, two 30g pouches of tobacco leaf and a Samsung mobile phone.

The victim sustained a sore nose and sore cheek as a result of the assault.

One of the men police want to speak to is described as: white, aged in his early 20s, 5ft 9ins and had short brown hair. He was wearing a brown Nike hooded top, with the hood up, and black Nike tracksuit bottoms.

The second man is described as: white, aged in his early 20s, wearing a white hooded top, with hood up, and black jeans.

Pc Paul Sammons, said: “The robbery took place during the late morning close to a main shopping area. The two men both wore their hoods up, which may have looked out of place at the time. It is likely there would have been other people around at the time and I would urge anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the offenders in the area, to get in touch.”
