A TEENAGER was stabbed in the Weydon Lane area of Farnham on Saturday afternoon.
Police say a 19-year-old man was walking towards the A31 footbridge at around 5.30pm when he was approached by the suspect who stabbed him in the stomach.
Paramedics treated the victim at the scene and he is now in a stable condition in hospital.
A cordon remained in place at the scene on Saturday evening while officers carry out enquiries.
DS Jo Smith said: “We’d like to urge anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time or anyone who may have information about this incident to get in touch with us straightaway.
“I understand that this incident is concerning to the local community and I’d like to reassure residents that we are doing everything we can to find who is responsible.
“Residents should stay alert to any suspicious behaviour and report anything, no matter how minor, to 101.”
