A residential street off Station Road was among the most crime-ridden in Petersfield in February according to the latest www.police.uk figures.

Police are looking into offences involving weapons, violence and anti-social behaviour on North Road with 86 crimes being recorded in the town overall.

Burglary and shoplifting accounted for nearly a quarter of all offences with most taking place around the town centre and the A272 Winchester Road services.

Inwood Road was the most troublesome in Liss with police investigating three offences involving violence or sexual offences and a single case involving drugs.

Elsewhere, two vehicle crimes were reported in Garston Close, East Meon, during the month while police also investigated a burglary at a farm near Rogate.
