Updated police figures show reported crime levels in Bordon remained steady at the beginning of summer.

But there was a spike in robberies in June, with incidents being reported in Apollo Drive, School Road and Moorlands Way during the month.

Figures on www.police.uk show 86 crimes were reported during the month compared to 84 in May, with incidents involving violence or sexual offences accounting for 36.

The second most frequently reported crime in the Bordon patch was theft (12), followed by anti-social behaviour (10).

Burglaries were reported on Hibiscus Grove and Bolley Avenue during the month while the Tesco Bordon and Forest Shopping Centre areas were the most “crime-ridden” areas of the town with 16 incidents altogether.
