POLICE are today appealing for witnesses after a two-car crash closed a stretch of the A325 at Wrecclesham Hill, near Farnham.

The head-on crash, which happened around 7.30am on Wednesday, involved a Volkswagen Tiguan and an Audi, according to the police.

It happened just yards from where mum-of-two Amy Harris was killed when she was hit by a van last September.

A spokesman for Surrey Police confirmed that one of the drivers was taken to hospital but the fate of the second driver is unclear.

The road remained closed for much of Wednesday morning as the emergency services, including ambulance crews and a fire engine, dealt with the crash.

Anyone who witnessed the accident should call 101, quoting incident reference PR/P18267269.
