THEATRE Royal Winchester has an exciting spring season of music, drama, family shows and comedy.

The Mark Bruce Company will present cinematic dance theatre show Phantoms (February 15) and the Yorke Dance Project celebrates choreographer Sir Robert Cohan in Connecting to Cohan (March 22).

There’s comedy from Luke Kempner (February 11), Jasper Carrott and Alistair McGowan (February 18-19), Geoff Norcott (February 27), Ed Byrne (March 6) and Shaparak Khorsandi (March 18).

Alan Titchmarsh discusses his novel, The Gift, with Fiona Lindsay (March 16), and Dire Straits founding member John Illsley chats about the band (April 24).

Children can enjoy Dear Zoo (March 6-7) and the tricks and jokes of Sooty’s Magic Show (April 11).

Theatre fans will love Black is the Color of My Voice, inspired by Nina Simone, on Wednesday, The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde (March 3-5), Frankenstein (March 24-26) and Mary Rose, a J M Barrie ghost story (March 11-12).

And there’s music from Glenn Tilbrook (March 23).
