Overbearing 159-home plan for Farnham Centrum site rejected - but at what cost?Community officer and temporary manager of the hall Liz Panton said the weekend’s Big Paint event was a great success, with between 15 and 20 people coming on each day of the weekend - Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The decorators included area residents, councillors and staff from Tesco and housing group Radian.
Although there were still finishing touches left to do, Ms Panton said the main hall “does look very nice” and welcomed volunteers, who can spare a couple of hours, to pop in to finish the job.
The weekend also saw work done in the hall’s garden, with plants donated by Tesco and Whitehill and Bordon firm MI Bone Builders, which also donated shingle and wood bark chips for the area.
All the paint, rollers and equipment was supplied thanks to a grant from East Hampshire District Council.
