Sandie and Roger Scrivens took part in the ASICS London 10k on July 9 in memory of their 11-year-old daughter Becky who died in 2004 from Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP).

They have entered a Team Becky in various guises into the London 10k for the last 13 years, although because of Covid restrictions they had to improvise in 2020 with a 10km circuit encompassing the streets of Alton, Jubilee Fields and Anstey Park.

This year’s entry was their last sponsored run for the charity SUDEP Action, which continues to support them since they lost their daughter, but it is not the end of their awareness campaigning and fundraising. SUDEP claims 21 lives every week in the UK. See www.sudep.org for details.
