THE beer was flowing at Bordon’s Phoenix Theatre and Arts Centre on September 29 for the venue’s annual beer festival.

With live music, food and a Cornish and pirate theme, the annual festival was described as was another resounding success. Organisers estimated that more than 250 people sailed in to enjoy the fun.

“The Cornish-themed beer festival was a sell out for the evening session, and overall one of the best festivals that we have had,” said Jenny Clarke, from The Phoenix.

“The atmosphere was amazing. In the afternoon, lots of people were outside, playing board games, enjoying the barbecue and homemade Cornish pasties, chatting and drinking of course.

“There were pirate-themed activities for children, which were really popular.

“The evening session was incredible. The atmosphere was upbeat and there was dancing galore.”
