AS Bordon waits to hear if it is to be one of 10 new eco-towns in Britain, a protest group has been formed to try to stop the 5,500 new "green" houses gaining eco-status would bring, because they fear the "irreversible damage" it would do the the town's natural environment.
The Bordon Area Action Group (BAAG), made up of residents from Bordon and the surrounding villages, has been formed to oppose East Hampshire District Council's proposals for 5,500 new houses in Bordon, backed by Government funding, which they point out "will make it almost the population of Farnham".
