Whitehill Town Council is going to great heights – and some lows – to keep unwanted visitors off two green spaces.
Councillors have provisionally backed plans to install a height restriction barrier at Mill Chase Recreation Ground with two firms providing quotes.
A “beast” of a barrier costing around £6,250 seems to be preferred option, with clerk Lorraine Jeffs to investigate possible funding sources.
She said: “It’s just providing additional protection because if anything does get on that field it could cost an awful lot to put right.”
Plans to have a ditch/berm installed at the Malmsbury play area as a similar deterrent were also approved by the WTC Executive Committee, as only a “couple of hundred pounds” would be spent on hiring a digger.
