BEER lovers are being invited to The Phoenix Beer Festival at the town’s theatre.

Now in its fourth year, the festival will return on Saturday, September 30, to celebrate the great brewing tradition of the South East, offering more than 20 beers and ciders from local breweries. Families are welcome during the afternoon session, from 11.30am-4pm, but the evening session, from 6pm-10.30pm, is for over 18s.

As well as the chance to sample award-winning ales, there will be music from local bands Funkee Clawed and Big Red Ass. The butcher Smallbone & Sons, based in Farnham, will provide food for the barbecue, with vegetarian options also available.

Tickets cost £6 for one session, £10 for both sessions, and include a free limited-edition Phoenix beer glass.
