MORE than 20 people attended a coffee morning at Bordon’s Forest Community Centre, in aid of Dementia UK.
At the Time For A Cuppa event, people were keen to find out more about dementia, to seek advice and to share experiences with others.
Some just dropped in for a chat, while others stayed for the morning and enjoyed homemade cakes and refreshments, all in aid of charity.
Guests heard a talk on living with dementia by Alton man Terry Eccott, who was diagnosed with the condition in 2013 and who tours the country, helping hundreds of others with the condition.
The husband of Bordon woman Ellen Rubinstead was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s 18 months ago and she decided to visit the event to meet other carers.
Organiser Michael Rutland thanked helpers and donors. The day raised more than £75.
