AT the latest Food and Film evening at Bordon’s Forest Community Centre, 40 diners enjoyed a pre-film curry, supplied by the Dhanmondi restaurant, before joining the rest of the audience to watch The Lady in the Van.
The film is about a homeless woman who, for 15 years, parked her van in the London driveway of playwright Alan Bennett.
Centre manager Lindsay Kelly said: “This was our most successful film eve-ning yet, with a high level of advance bookings and more than 20 people turning up and paying on the night. As result, we had a 100 people in the audience.”
• The next film will be Grandma (15) on Friday, April 22.
