CHILDREN'S faces glowed this week as they woke up on Wednesday to a snowy landscape.
But while it was fun for youngsters, it was a different story for commuters as the icy conditions gripped hard.
County council gritters were out in force but some people complained that not all the roads had been treated and salt bins had not arrived.
There were no traffic accidents in the town, but the Co-op at the Forest Centre ran out of bread.
