A SNAKE, tortoise and tarantula were just some of the animals which visited children at Blackmoor Badgers nursery, but were said to be their favourites!
The youngsters “really loved” seeing the animals, according to manager Carole Rudd.
ZooLab’s Heather Pearce took in the animals to see the children, who “enjoyed all the interaction with her and all of the animals”.
They talked about how the snail was “slimy and had a house on his back”, as well as the different colours of the snake and how these colours camouflage it in the wild.
Children also learnt tarantulas had eight legs and eyes, and enjoyed a story about Chinese New Year, which they have been learning about as their topic.
Carole added: “We would love to see ZooLab again – it was brilliant.”
