A WINTER ball raised thousands of pounds for the Midhurst Macmillan Specialist Palliative Care Service.
The ball, on December 17 at the Bordon Masonic Centre, on Woolmer Way, was organised by Anita Brown and her friends and family.
With plenty of glitz and glam, guests helped to raise nearly £4,000 for the cause.
Anita was diagnosed with an aggressive and fast-moving form of terminal bladder cancer last April.
Instead of feeling down and defeated, Anita tackled her personal challenge head on and is determined to spend her remaining time raising awareness of her condition and money for Macmillan.
Midhurst Macmillan is a charity which provides care and support to patients and their families.
Anita is also setting up her own charity, Anita’s Smiles, which will provide a lifetime wish or experience for terminally ill people over 40.
