HUNDREDS of brave souls will tackle the Hell Down South challenge at Longmoor Camp this month.
The Brooks HellRunner event on January 16 promises to be “wilder and wetter, hillier and hellier" than ever before”.
As the Brooks Hell-Runner series enters a 12th year, the number of people prepared to go to hell and back for charity fundraising and an unsparing personal challenge continues to grow.
The route is “100 per cent natural” making for a unique running challenge, controlled only by mother nature and the unpredictable English weather.
Previous events have seen pirates, brides, cavemen and angels taking to the challenge, and this time round will be no exception as serious battlers line up next to groups in fancy dress.
Along the way they will tackle The Hills of Hell, be greeted by angels at the Heaven from Hell zone and be blasted by music and pyrotechnics as they endure the Bog of Doom.
Those who complete the challenge will be greeted over the finish line with a goody bag, HellRunner medal, HellRunner T-shirt and “a sweet sense of pride”.
The event is the finale in a three-strong series across the UK.
