WOODLEA Primary School pupils unveiled their "be bright, be seen" fashion designs this week.

The Whitehill school's two junior road safety officers (from years five and six) judged the high-visibility clothing designs at an assembly on Wednesday.

The event was organised by teaching assistant Antje Schwenke, who said: "We had some wonderful, bright and colourful entries.

"Our children have understood the importance of wearing bright clothing during the winter months to aid them being seen by other road users."

Headteacher Neil Reeves added: "I am astounded by the standard of the entries, all showing great imagination."
