THE cost of burying a loved one in East Hampshire's cemeteries is set to rise for the next four years.
Cabinet members at East Hampshire District Council agreed to increase the costs of burial fees until the service breaks even.
Councillors accept the rises - which follow a 25 per cent increase in charges last year - will be tough on the district's poorer residents.
But they insist that rises are imperative because the service is expected to lose £70,000 this year despite last year's increases.
