Coomers – which has branches in Haslemere, Alton and Bordon – has presented Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care with a cheque for £3,025.23.

The builders’ merchant chose Phyllis Tuckwell as its charity partner for 2022 and fundraised at corporate events and challenges throughout the year. This was the 13th year Coomers has adopted an annual charity, and nearly £48,000 has been raised.

Phyllis Tuckwell has provided supportive and end-of-life care for patients and their families who are living with an advanced or terminal illness for more than 40 years.

Every day they support more than 250 patients, relatives and carers in their own homes, at the hospice in Farnham and at the Beacon Centre in Guildford.

Tom Enser, corporate partnerships fundraiser at Phyllis Tuckwell, said: “We would like to thank everyone at Coomers for choosing us as its charity partner for 2022 and for raising this amazing amount of money, which is enough to cover the costs of one of our hospice care at home nurses for nearly a month.”

This year Coomers’ charity partner is Pancreatic Cancer Action, which is based at Oakhanger.
