Squire’s Garden Centre in Frensham has chosen Lower Bourne-based Woodlarks Campsite as its charity of the year for 2022-23.

To celebrate, the team from Squire’s Garden Centre in Frensham were joined by the charity’s canine helpers. The charity offers camping for the disabled in its 12-acre setting of fields and woodlands close to the garden centre.

Catherine Crawford, chairman of trustees for Woodlarks Campsite, said: “We are delighted to have been chosen this year as Squire’s Frensham’s charity of the year. Established in 1930, we provide accessible camping for people with all kinds of disabilities.

“Children and adults come to Woodlarks to experience new things and leave often having exceeded their own expectations.

“Woodlarks Camp Site is just around the corner from Frensham Squire’s and exists so anyone, whatever their disability, can have the fun and fellowship of affordable camping in a glorious setting.

“We are looking forward to working with Tom Driscoll and his team.”

Sarah Squire, chairman of Squire’s Garden Centres, said: “I am delighted our Frensham team has decided to support Woodlarks Campsite. Our centres will help raise awareness of their chosen charity and, importantly, help raise much-needed funds for them.

“We are extremely grateful to our customers and colleagues for their support and generosity in helping these brilliant local causes and even more so during challenging times.”
