PUBLIC-spirited people in the Headley Down area are being asked to help paint the village community hall.
Volunteers will meet tomorrow and Sunday to paint Woodlands Hall, on the Heatherlands Estate.
The hall is a hub for the community and is used for activities including an after-school club and youth club.
Plans are under way for a new under-fives childcare provision, a 50-plus club and other sport and leisure activities.
The event will see volunteers from Tesco joining local people to spruce up the much-loved facility.
Volunteers are needed to help paint the main hall, other rooms inside Woodlands Hall, and raised garden beds and bin store.
Julie Butler, the district council’s portfolio holder for customer relations, said: “If you can help, even for a short time, don’t hesitate to get in touch.”
To help, call Liz Panton, hall temporary manager, on 01730 234391, the hall on 01428 717231, or email [email protected].
