A driver has been taken to hospital after a car was flipped on its side close to Petersfield town centre.

The Spain was closed in both directions around midday today (Thursday, June 12) following the accident near the junction with Borough Road.

It is thought the pictured blue Peugeot clipped the build-out and bollard and landed on its side.

Emergency services were quickly in attendance with the driver being taken to hospital in ambulance. Their injuries, if any, are not thought to be serious.
