HEADLEY Voluntary Care is in dire straits.

The charity - which was established more than 40 years ago - looks after hundreds of people every year, taking them to hospital, doctor and dentist appointments - and even on shopping trips - to allow freedom of movement for elderly people who would otherwise be confined to their homes.
