Calls for a greater police presence in Whitehill & Bordon have grown following further antisocial behaviour at a local charity shop.
Staff at Barnardo’s arrived on Wednesday, August 20, to find the shop had been ransacked.
Both Barnardo’s and the nearby Forest Centre have suffered multiple incidents in recent months. In late July, a known shoplifter was apprehended by police after allegedly stealing items from the shop.
Following that incident, Hampshire Police stated: “We are ensuring that we are showing an increased presence out in the community.”
Despite this, many residents continue to call for more police patrols in the community to tackle antisocial behaviour in the town, saying not enough is being done to prevent further disruption.
