CHILDREN from the Bordon Garrison Pre-School and Creche had their say on the future of their town when they met Whitehill Town Council leader Alan Waterhouse.

Mr Waterhouse has visited the children twice in recent weeks to engage with them about the future of Whitehill and Bordon.

They met for the first time at The Coffee Pot Cafe, at Martinique House, where the children asked questions about the regeneration project and shared their ideas on new facilities needed, such as a play park with a swing and a helter skelter that they can help build.

Mr Waterhouse joined the children this week at the pre-school and creche, in Kildare Road, to answer the children’s questions, and to explore the idea of a “mud kitchen”.

Mr Waterhouse, said: “The town council, developers and consultants are all working together on the Whitehill and Bordon regeneration project but it is also great to hear the opinions of the children who are the future of the town.

“I have had a wonderful two days listening to their ideas and answering their questions.

“I hope to return again soon.”

The Whitehill and Bordon Regeneration Company is working with the pre-school and creche on initiatives including monitoring traffic, trips to the Hogmoor Inclosure and childcare provision.
