METRIX, the company which will help the Army to move from Bordon to Wales in an estimated five years time, is celebrating this week after signing a £31m contract with the Ministry of Defence (MoD) that puts it in charge of the so-called Early Training Transformation project.
The fact the MoD has awarded this contract could be the best indication yet that there will be no hitches with the signing of the Defence Training Review, scheduled for next summer, which will start the process for the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) to move to St Athan, Wales, in 2014.
