TIME is running out for residents to have their say on East Hampshire District Council’s consultation for ten large scale development sites, including Whitehill and Bordon.

The consultation is another step in the process to prepare a new Local Plan. In Whitehill and Bordon, the proposed site is in various parts of the town and includes more homes within the existing development, redevelopment of existing housing and non-residential sites and new sites, as reported in last week’s Bordon Herald.

James Child, project lead at the Whitehill & Bordon Regeneration Company said: “We are keen to build on the success of the sustainable regeneration of Whitehill & Bordon. The town can grow by an additional 1,284 homes built on brownfield land and will be supported by new areas of green space, woodland and parkland.”

He added there will also be “sufficient access to services and employment opportunities”, and described it as an “exciting opportunity”.

*Residents have until Tuesday (October 15) to have their say by email, letter or online at www.easthants.gov.uk/draft-local-plan .
