IT is going to be the show house that ushers in 21st century eco-housing in Whitehill - a code six, zero carbon home, heated only by the sun and its insulated walls clad with chestnut panels to help it to blend in with surrounding woodland.

But on Monday night, Whitehill Town Council planners were not impressed with this green icon that will go up on part of the old fire station site.
