THE proposed eco-town future of Whitehill and Bordon was thrown into doubt this week, when one of the companies involved in building the new Army camp in Wales withdrew from the project.

The Army is due to leave Whitehill and Bordon in 2013, leaving vast amounts of land open for redevelopment. However, news that property company Land Securities has dropped out of plans to build a new training camp for the soldiers could significantly affect the proposals.
