A TEAM of employees from the Whitehill and Bordon Regeneration Company and Taylor Wimpey scaled 14 peaks in the Lake District to raise more than £2,400 for Macmillan Cancer Support centres and the Youth Adventure Trust.

For the Taylor Wimpey Challenge 2017, the peaks of Red Screes, Dove Crag, Hart Crag, Fairfield and Helvellyn had to be scaled.

The challenge was made worse by the bad weather, which left the team with poor visibility as they battled rain, hail, wind and sleet for 10 and a half hours.

But they overcame what nature threw at them to complete the challenge in 58,800 steps, climbing the equivalent of 603 floors.

Ravail Marwaha, project manager at the regeneration company, said: “We all pulled through together.

“We’d like to thank everyone who sponsored and supported us.”
