OAKHANGER raised more than £1,000 with its annual dog and flower show.

Committee member Finella Kilner said the event, held on the village green, was a “great day”.

“We had a really super dog show,” she added.

“And then all afternoon we had the children’s games, which are ever popular.”

The money raised will go toward the ongoing upkeep of Oakhanger village Hall.
