PUNCH Taverns has promised to re-open Headley's Holly Bush Inn "as soon as we possibly can" after taking over possession, following its shock closure on Monday.

Villagers only knew about the closure when landlord Colin Marchington left a message on the front door, stating his regret the pub was closed, adding his mobile number and the statement: "Whether the pub will open again this week is not yet known."
