East Hampshire District Council has formally agreed the handover of £750,000 of homeless accommodation to Two Saints charity.

The 10 accommodation ‘pods’ in the former Pinewood Village Hall in Bordon will now be run by the charity that specialises in rehoming homeless people and families.

The charity took over the site on January 17 as part of a scheme to help the homeless, but also to help the council cut back on the cost of temporary accommodation such B&Bs.

The council has stressed the pods funded by affordable housing developers’ contributions will be used to help those in need in East Hampshire.
