East Hampshire's motorists will have six road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But drivers will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

A3, from 8pm September 26 to 6am October 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound and southbound, Berelands, slip road and lane closures for resurfacing, diversion via National Highways network.

M27, from 8am September 18 to 8pm October 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): abnormal Load Movement, Tilbury Essex to Gosport.

And a further four closures will begin over the next seven days:

A3, from 8pm October 10 to 6am October 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 both directions Hazel Grove to Upper Hammer Lane, Lane closure for barrier repair works.

A3, from 8pm October 14 to 6am October 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound, Sheet to Liss, Lane closures for drainage work.

A3, from 8pm October 19 to 6am October 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound, Milford, slip road and lane closures for drainage work, diversion via National Highways network.

A3, from 8pm October 21 to 6am October 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 southbound, Milford, slip road and lane closures for drainage work, diversion via National Highways and local authority network.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
