Easter came early at Hollywater School this week as Bluebird Care arranged for the Easter Bunny to make a surprise return for the second consecutive year, bringing smiles across the school community.

The festive treat saw chocolate eggs hand-delivered to every pupil and staff member at the Bordon special school, in a gesture that underscores Bluebird Care's ongoing partnership with Hollywater.

Children were filled with excitement and delight as the Easter Bunny hopped through the school to spread joy and chocolate treats.

Hollywater School, which supports children with learning and physical disabilities, has been in partnership with Bluebird Care since January 2025.

Beyond the Easter celebrations, the care provider has become a cornerstone of the school’s daily life, providing pupils with expert personal care, as well as support with moving and positioning, and nutrition and hydration.

This unique partnership has transformed the school’s care provision. With Bluebird Care’s dedicated team managing all care needs, teaching staff have been freed up to devote more time to pupils’ education and academic progress.

Bluebird Care provides CQC Outstanding-rated care services to people of all ages across Petersfield, Alton, Bordon, Liphook, Liss, Havant, Waterlooville and Hayling Island, supporting people in their own homes as well as in community settings such as schools.

Sarah Kitching, headteacher of Hollywater School, said: “It’s fantastic to see Bluebird Care’s ongoing dedication to our school. Their day-to-day assistance is already so valuable, and events like this one create truly memorable moments that leave both our children and staff with huge smiles.”

Norman Murphy, managing director of Bluebird Care Alton, Petersfield and Havant, said: “It was wonderful to see the children beaming with joy once again, and we're delighted to continue working in close partnership with Hollywater to deliver outstanding care and support for their pupils.”
