THE Kingsley Steam Rally drew in the crowds and, although numbers were slightly down on last year, still generated thousands of pounds for charity.

The annual event was held at the Kingsley United Sports Club, in Sickles Road. Organiser Sylvia Haydon said the weekend raised £3,675 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The Haydons have organised another steam rally, also for Macmillan, on September 3 and 4 at Balls Cross, near Petworth.
