A festival offering everything from cartoon drawing and circus skills to board games and beatboxing will begin at Farnham Maltings this Saturday.

The Family Festival is billed as a day full of creative activities for youngsters aged three to 15 and their parents.

The programme includes a wide range of free and low-cost creative workshops for families and children to get involved with.

The workshops will be led by professional artists and performers such as best-selling author and cartoonist James Parsons and UK championship beatboxer Danny Ladwa.

Highlights will include the graffitiing of a large collaborative mural and a craft activity which puts the spin on an imaginative Farnham townscape.

Participants can also take part in a silent disco, interact with wandering entertainers and meet animals in the petting zoo.

There’s an afternoon treat as Morgan & West’s Massive Magic Show for Kids will entertain the young ones.

Entry to the festival is free but there is a fee for some workshops. Visit the Farnham Maltings website for more details.
