Gilbert White’s House and Gardens in Selborne is hosting a number of events during the summer holidays.

On Tuesday, August 9 from 10.30am to midday there will be river dipping at Oakhanger Stream for children aged six to 12. The cost is £5 per child and £5 per adult, with one accompanying adult for every three children.

Music will come to the gardens on August 14 with 21st Century ABBA. Gates open at 6.15pm for picnics before the 7.30pm show. Tickets £22 (under-16s/students £17).

On August 19 at 3pm there will be the musical Gingerbread Man and The Three Bears, written by Simon Downing and Kevin Oliver Jones. Tickets £12 adults, £8 children.

And from August 23 to December 11 the museum will host the exhibition Drawn From Nature: Gilbert White and the Artists.
