A BORDON taxi firm is offering free rides for a day to celebrate its eighth birthday.

Toms Taxis is offering the free journeys between 9am and midnight on Sunday.

The promotion is open to people who live in Bordon and the surrounding areas and there is no limit on where they can go.

When asked about a free taxi ride to Scotland, Tom (pictured), from Toms Taxis, said: “As long as you booked 48 hours beforehand and I have availability then, yes, Scotland it is.”

The firm will also offer half-price taxis on April 1 every year.

“We were established on October 1, 2009,” the firm’s owner said.

“I started by telling Facebook friends about myself, in turn that then spread to their friends and families, and I was able to buy another car and a minibus. I’d like to thank my friends and the community for helping me to start and build my own business, hence this promotion.”
