LOVERS of vintage may wish to indulge their passion at the Vintage Revival festival at the Rural Life Centre near Tilford.

The festival will take place from Friday to Sunday, September 1 to 3.

On the Friday, from 7pm to 10pm, there will be an open-air screening of David Lean’s classic 1945 film Brief Encounter about a mother whose life becomes complicated after meeting a stranger at a railway station. Entry is £10, and anyone interested in the screening is urged to buy their ticket in advance.

On Saturday and Sunday, September 2 and 3, from 10am to 5pm, the festival will feature stalls (selling clothes, homeware and miscellanea), live music, dancing, acting, a dog fancy dress contest, hot rods, a beer tent, makeovers and more. Tickets cost £10.

Dress from the 1940s and 1950s is encouraged.

On the Saturday evening, from 7pm to 10pm, there will be a 1940s-1950s tea dance with music from the Vic Cracknell Swing Band. Tickets cost £12, and again anyone interested in attending the tea dance is urged to buy their ticket in advance.

Tickets for the daytime festival are also available to purchase in advance from the Rural Life Centre, either in person or by calling 01252 795571. Tickets can be held at reception for visitors to collect when they arrive at the festival or sent in the post.

For those who want to camp, the cost per tent is £5.
