THE Chase Hospital League of Friends' festivities began with a Christmas fair on Saturday.
The event was held at the Masonic Lodge in the High Street, Bordon, and included handmade crafts, flower arrangements and novelty Christmas gifts.
Secretary of the Chase Hospital League of Friends Peggy Jones said: "We had a lot of stalls there and they all looked beautiful.
"There was a good trade throughout the day and, for the first time at our Christmas fairs, we had a lot of children there.
"They all took part in the lucky dip and had a lot of fun unwrapping their prizes. It was lovely to see."
The fair raised £990 for the Chase Hospital, which will go towards paying for a new piece of physiotherapy equipment costing more than £3,000.
At the end of the fair, chairman of the League of Friends George Watt auctioned the left-over goods.
Mrs Jones said: "It really was very enjoyable and we would like to thank all the stallholders, and all the people who came to shop, for taking part in a lovely day."
