FIVE organisations will receive a grant from Whitehill Town Council as part of its minor grant-aid scheme to help with running costs and buying equipment.
At a meeting of the council’s policy and resources committee on April 18, members agreed to award grants of almost £6,000 to organisations which provide services and activities in the town.
The awards were £600 to the 1st Blackmoor and Whitehill Scout Group to buy outdoor cooking equipment; £500 to Grayshott Cricket Club towards the cost of replacement site screens; £1,500 to Home-Start WeyWater; £2,639 to TLC – Hospice Services at Home, and £593 to the Whitehill and Bordon War Memorial Association to buy a new tent and toward insurance costs.
Adam Carew, leader of Whitehill Town Council, said: “I am thrilled that we were able to give all our applicants everything they asked for.”
