WHITEHILL and Bordon joined towns and cities across the UK on Monday to raise a flag to mark Armed Forces Day.

Lieutenant Colonel Alistair Houlds-worth, representing the Bordon Garrison Commander, joined town mayor Tony Muldoon at the Forest Community Centre's event area to raise a flag to show support for servicemen and women, and the wider armed forces community of families, veterans and cadets.

Town and parish councillors attended, along with the mayors of Alton and Farnham, representatives from schools, and officers representing Bordon Garrison units.
