GILBERT White’s 18th-century garden in Selborne will provide a spectacular venue on Thursday, August 24, for a one-day Summer Kitchen Garden Course.
Suitable for a seasoned gardener or a complete novice, the course will be led by Keith Oakley, kitchen gardener at Gilbert White’s, and will include advice and hands-on experience at hoeing, weeding, aftercare of seeding successional sowing, harvesting crops, maintaining pathways, making compost, and sowing green manure crops.
Running from 10am to 4pm, the cost of the course is £45, to include refreshments and lunch.
