FORMER Olympic champion Daley Thompson opened the £28,000 Trim Trail at Mill Chase recreation ground in Bordon last Thursday.

At the same time, the star decathlete, after a gap of 35 years, renewed a friendship with Whitehill Town Council's eco-town officer Chris Youngs, with whom he used to train.
