A WOMAN who defrauded East Hampshire District Council of more than £7,000 of housing benefit was lucky to escape a jail sentence, according to magistrates.
Loyce Njeru failed to declare four of her five part-time jobs to the council while she was receiving housing benefit toward a property in Savile Crescent, Bordon.
Over a two-year period, from 2008-2010 she claimed £7,267.45 to which she was not entitled.
