FROM February, “little engineers” aged four and under will be able to travel for free on the Watercress Line’s standard service.

The change in ticket price is part of the Alton to Alresford attraction’s aim to encourage enthusiasm and love for the heritage railway at an early age.

Jason Houlders, general manager at the Watercress Line, said: “I hope that by making our standard travel free for those aged four and under, we can secure even more little engineers for the future.”
