Games giant Asmodee UK is looking for more staff as it plans to expand its business into a new £10 million headquarters in Bordon.

Most of the new roles will be warehouse-based but Asmodee is also recruiting in other departments, with permanent, fixed-term and temporary contracts all available.

The company, which currently has more than 160 employees at sites in Alton and Bordon Enterprise Park, distributes board games including Dobble, Catan, Ticket To Ride and The Pokémon Trading Card Game.

It chose to stay in Bordon after developing a strong local reputation with the help of a loyal and passionate workforce.

With Bordon being regenerated along green and healthy lines, Asmodee – which began 30 years ago as a games shop in Aldershot – believes it will have “perfect surroundings” to offer employees a “high-quality, balanced lifestyle”.

The site on the new A325 will have lots of communal areas for staff including a roof terrace and a large canteen.

It backs on to the woodland at Hogmoor Inclosure, which it describes as “an idyllic spot for a lunchtime stroll”.

New employees will receive training and a “competitive package” including a pension, life assurance and other benefits as Asmodee aims to create “one of the best working environments and cultures in the region”.

An Asmodee spokesperson said: “There aren’t many companies in the UK who focus on fun. There are even fewer who also want their teams to spend time playing more games, more often.

“Over the past few years people have tended to spend time playing games in smaller groups but latterly have invested more quality time with friends and family, which has seen a meteoric rise in the popularity of board games.

“Asmodee UK hopes to attract a large number of new local employees who fancy working in what remains a fantastically fun industry.”
